The value of a solid brand story can’t be overstated. It influences all aspects of digital marketing, especially SEO.
Well-known brands receive a fair amount of navigational (branded) search traffic, as well as the benefit of legitimacy and recognition when appearing alongside other search results, which can reinforce their CTR and rankings.
One way to build up your brand’s legitimacy is through your website’s content (SEO and content marketing). Another way is to utilize your social media profiles to create a following and increase organic visibility.
Additionally, public relations (PR) and offline marketing can contribute to your overall brand storytelling and help amplify existing brand-building efforts.
What I do as a holistic marketer is help your company utilize its internal and external resources to grow your brand’s reputation to achieve business goals, like earning more “qualified leads” from search, socials, and beyond.

Why are PR and offline marketing essential in the age of AI?
Imagine someone who’s a potential customer of yours heads to Google Search or even an AI chatbot like ChatGPT. They search a query (keyword or phrase) about a problem they’re trying to solve. They’ll be served a variety of information, within which will be multiple brands, either as search results, citations, or mentions.
If someone recognizes your brand from news coverage or offline marketing in that mix, they’ll be more likely to click on it, or remember it for next time.
In SEO, popular brands tend to rise higher and get more visibility long term due to their higher likelihood of receiving clicks (CTR) and engagement. The same can apply on social media platforms.
In short, popularity and brand trust equals clicks, which equals more visibility. It’s a reinforcing phenomenon.
There’s also the benefit of creating third-party backlinks or even unlinked mentions that may reinforce your website’s authority (link graph) or establish your brand in knowledge graphs. These can then help feed RAG (retrieval augmented generation) models that contribute to more branded mentions.
As a holistic marketer, I’ll help your brand shine across all of the platforms it’s eligible for, from search engines and social media sites to AI chatbots and relevant 3rd-parties.
