Maximize the organic search visibility of your website’s content with a custom SEO content strategy

To reach your target audience in Google’s organic search results today takes a smart, efficient, and targeted SEO content strategy.
That’s where I can help.
I’m Ethan Lazuk, an experienced and independent SEO consultant who spent over 8 years in digital marketing agencies as both a content specialist and an SEO strategist, so I understand SEO content from all angles.
I’ll help you audit your website’s existing content, create a plan for new content, and advise on its creation and performance.
Based on your business goals, we’ll maximize your brand’s visibility with your target audience to help convert them along their buyer’s journey on Google Search, other search engines, as well as AI answer engines or chatbots.
Simultaneously, we’ll grow your brand’s authority in a sustainable way.
Why you can trust me
The foundations of successful SEO content for Google Search today are that it’s helpful, reliable, and people-first.
Google’s official SEO Starter Guide even says:
“Creating content that people find compelling and useful will likely influence your website’s presence in search results more than any of the other suggestions in this guide.”
If you search on Google today for the phrase “helpful, reliable, and people-first content” or “creating helpful content,” you’ll often find my website in the top results. That’s because I’ve studied, experienced, and know this topic intimately.
Content services overview
I can provide individual content services, like providing an existing content audit, doing topic research, or creating a strategic content calendar.
Or I can incorporate content services within a holistic SEO strategy. While having great content is important, it should be coupled with solid website technical foundations and a good page experience for users.
Content tactics I offer can include:
- On-page optimization: titles, headings, links, entities, semantic triples
- Striking-distance pages: optimization of pages closest to top rankings
- E-E-A-T alignment: focusing on elements that showcase expertise and build trust
- UX for engagement: structuring content in a way that’s pleasing to users
- Search-intent optimization: ensuring content aligns with what users want to achieve
- Keyword research and topic ideation: researching relevant content ideas from multiple sources
- Topical clusters: creating pillar-cluster or hub-and-spoke content based on buyer’s journey topics
- Helpful content audits: refreshing content as needed and removing low-quality content
- Non-traditional content types: social media content or video for SEO purposes
- And much more.
The exact nature of your website’s content needs depends on your existing content, audience, and business goals.
Pricing
I prefer to charge based on a per audit, strategy, project, or milestone basis, to ensure we can reach our goals without limitations. This averages out to around $150 per hour.

Why my content services are different
Many SEO content strategies are still created based on older logic of how search engines work. They involve keyword research and competitor or SERP analysis and then content briefs with outlines and target keywords. The fact is, users are tired of generic “SEO spam” that doesn’t offer real value, and Google has responded.
Google’s latest ranking system updates included the third helpful content update in September 2023 and the March 2024 core update that have decimated the visibility of SEO-first content (or even websites that resemble having it).
Meanwhile, Generative AI features like Google’s SGE summaries, ChatGPT or Gemini chatbots, and Perplexity AI answer engines will take an increasingly sizable bite out of traditional organic website referrals and traffic.
But that’s all ok, if we understand these factors and plan for them.
When it comes to content topics, I focus on buyer’s journey topics that satisfy users and support business goals and are often based on unique insights drawn from sources other than keyword research.
With regard to AI and search, the goal is to know where your website’s content fits into your customer’s journey. If you’re giving information AI can already summarize, that’s not a traffic opportunity, but it could be a branding one. As for earning organic traffic, our goal is to create content that’s uniquely valuable, that AI can’t summarize, and that can drive “qualified clicks” leading to conversions and revenue.
Additionally, today’s search environment goes far beyond keyword rankings and web clicks.
Whereas the traditional mindset around SEO content focused on service, product, or location pages and then pillar pages and blog posts to support them, today’s environment has far more surfaces and avenues for organic visibility, including Discover, SGE while browsing, and knowledge graph and shopping graph features.
Innovations in Google’s universal search driven by advanced “multimodal” AI ranking systems like MUM as well as new AI models like Gemini also contribute to the growing relevance and visibility of non-text content, like video and images.
But there’s more.
Google’s hidden gems improvements starting in 2023 and features like the Perspectives carousel (in 2023) and Forums filter introduced in 2024 mean there’s more visibility for UGC and social media content as SEO content.
