A weekly look-back at SEO & AI news, tips, and other content shared on social media & beyond.

Opening notes, thoughts, and musings:
- Welcome to another new week of Hamsterdam! 🐹
- I appreciate you being here, and look forward to sharing the week’s news! 🙌
- Happy Fourth of July! 🎆
If you’re in a rush, hop down to the news portion. 📰
Or continue reading for two vocabulary lessons plus an introduction.

And we’re off …
🧑💻 Marketing word of the week: “Jingle”
A jingle is a short, catchy tune used to promote a product or service.
Most SEOs probably have no use for jingles, but hey, I needed a “J” word this week.
Besides, with all the emphasis on generating brand awareness these days, maybe investing in having a jingle is just what the doctor ordered:
🤖 AI word of the week: “JSON”
JSON stands for JavaScript Object Notation. It’s a lightweight data format used to store and exchange information between systems, particularly useful in digital marketing platforms and tools.

As an example, when marketers use APIs to connect platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or email automation tools, data like customer profiles, campaign performance metrics, or product details is often transferred in JSON format.
😄 Introduction to week 105: “Inspiration”
I’m currently acting as a judge for the U.S. Search Awards. It’s my first time and it’s been a great experience so far.
It’s inspiring to see how many people are doing great work and seeing positive results from that, especially to support business outcomes.
It’s easy to fixate on the losses of clicks or difficulties in reporting on AI visibility, but let’s not forget all the encouraging things happening in our field as well.
Stay motivated. Stay inspired.
Thank you for supporting Hamsterdam and the cause of SEO & AI learning. 🙏
Enjoy the vibes:
