Thanks for your interest in working together!

Of this page, I’ll share my philosophy as an independent SEO consultant.

My goal is to help you decide if I’m the right person to help your brand grow.

Still here? Well, all right. šŸ˜Ž

Let’s-a go!

First, here’s a little about me.

I’m Ethan Lazuk, an independent SEO strategist and consultant and the owner of Ethan Lazuk Consulting, LLC, along with my lovely wife, Dania Lazuk.

I started my company in January of 2024 to work directly with clients and give them the strategic guidance and SEO services I felt worked in today’s environment of search.

I work with clients globally šŸŒ, and I’m based in Orlando, Florida 🌓 šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø.

I create weekly recaps of SEO and AI news called Hamsterdam.

This is how I stay up to date on current SEO topics (like AI Overviews) and modern tactics (like using generative AI for SEO work).

I’m also a student of search history.

I believe in timeless fundamentals and holistic approaches that focus on brand building and user-first optimizations, including helpful content that stands out for its value.

Furthermore, I’m currently learning more about AI. This includes studying topics like machine learning and natural language processing (NLP).

Meanwhile, given my background in anthropology before doing SEO professionally, I also like to apply social sciences and marketing concepts to my strategies.

Prior to starting my company, I worked for 8+ years at digital marketing agencies, where I started from the bottom and worked up to senior strategist and manager roles.

What separates me as a consultant from the agencies I worked for?

In a few short words: It’s my breadth of expertise, my passion for doing good SEO work that helps your business, stays ahead of the curve, and is 100% unique to your goals, and that my opinions are my own.

I believe the agencies I worked for did a great job of selling their services. My focus is more about SEO knowledge, pushing the boundaries of innovation, and delivering results.

How do I deliver SEO services to you?

Well, it depends.

Hey, I wouldn’t be a good SEO if I didn’t say, “It depends,” at least once, right? šŸ˜†

In short, my strategies are 100% unique to your business goals.

I usually begin with an audit to inform a strategy, which I can help your team implement and report on results. (I can also offer individual projects, as needed.)

My audits are holistic, but I also tend to focus less on competitor research and more on your brand’s unique value proposition for your target audience.

High level, my services have three core aspects: 1. technical website foundations, 2. helpful content audits, calendars, and strategy, and 3. authority building.

Here are some of the strategy questions I think about:

Helpful content: Are we delivering the most value to users in exchange for the least amount of their time?

Brand credibility: Are we achieving brand awareness everywhere your audience searches, not only in Google’s main search results but also related areas (Discover, People also View, Perspectives, Discussions and forums, etc.)?

Beyond Google: Are we also pursing visibility in other search engines (Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Ecosia, etc.) and AI agents, chatbots, and answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini, Meta AI, etc.)

No generic checklists: Are we taking a holistic approach, not only focusing on individual SEO tactics but the overall marketing funnel and buyer’s journey for your audience personas?

Information gain: Are we involving alternative sources of content ideas and pursuing other ways of getting visibility during buyer’s journeys, like through free product listings or social media content in search results.

How I do pricing:

I use a project-based pricing model, with a flat rate estimated for each project or milestone. This helps ensure we reach your goals within your budget. (I can also offer hourly services or monthly retainers, as needed.)

My average pricing is $150/hour USD.

I also offer free guidance to nonprofits as well as artists, creatives, and musicians. No strings attached.

Thank you for your response. ✨

And remember, SEO is best as a holistic, long-term investment.

I’ve had several businesses reach out to me, particularly in my local Orlando area, asking if I could help them, “beat their competitors” or “rank number 1.”

What I do is help businesses and brands grow their visibility with their target audiences organically online, largely in Google’s search results, but in other places, too. The goal is to increase brand awareness and credibility with customers for the long term to achieve business goals.

All of the pieces matter.

Unlike Google ads and other paid media, where you’re paying for placements and clicks that will go away when the budget runs out, SEO creates sustainable visibility.

Also, as generative AI answers grow, clicks to websites will likely decrease, making it even more important to establish your brand and its products or services in the semantic web to achieve visibility through those modern user journeys.

SEO is an ongoing marketing channel that also supports your other efforts, like paid media, email, and social media. Technical website issues can always arise, competitors will continue doing their own SEO work, and the needs of your audience may evolve. Meanwhile, Google’s ranking systems progress, search features evolve, and search results grow in volatility.

That’s why SEO isn’t a one-time project but rather a fundamental part of your overall marketing and brand-building strategy.

I can help with individual aspects of your SEO strategy, or help you build and executive the entire thing.

Either way, the best way to maximize the value of your SEO work in terms of business impact is to ensure your strategy is well-designed in the first place. šŸ”„

SEO improvements can have quick impacts. Here are a few examples where I’ve documented that:

The trick is working with an SEO strategist who’s savvy enough to understand where theĀ low-hanging fruitĀ opportunities are but can still account for your business goals, audience personas, and competitive insights, creating a long-term and holistic SEO strategy focusing on your brand’sĀ present and future growth.

I think I know one you can work with. šŸ˜Ž

Real talk

I originally had a section here that spoke about some of the pitfalls to watch out for when working with agencies, based on experience.

I removed it, though, because it’s not about putting anyone down, but lifting ourselves up.

As I mentioned, agencies I worked for were great at selling services. My focus is more on SEO knowledge, pushing the industry forward, and getting results that impact businesses and their customers.

If that sounds good to you, let’s talk!

Thanks for your time. I look forward to growing your brand together.
